I’m the worst at documenting things, but here I am, sharing tonight’s meal: #ProteinAndNutrients.
Because here’s the truth: You have to begin to look at food as fuel rather than just enjoyment.
A Life-Changing Diagnosis
It’s been 20 days since I was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer.
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of appointments, information, advice, and recommendations. It’s been overwhelming, but I’m deeply grateful for the kindness, thoughtfulness, and support I’ve received.
- My sister has been incredible, making sure I come home to a nutritious meal every evening after work.
- My brother has stepped up to help me meal prep for lunches and has gone above and beyond—buying veggies for juicing, vitamin infusions, water filters, seeds for sprouting, and so much more.
My Healing Plan
On April 18th, I implemented a comprehensive list of changes to starve the cancer and rebuild my body’s strength. Here’s what I’ve added:
Organic Living:
- Organic toothpaste, deodorant, and soap.
- No lotion (embracing natural alternatives).
- Wooden utensils, ceramic skillets, and plates.
Natural Therapies:
- CBD cream and RSO.
- Castor oil wraps.
- Cold showers for circulation and immune support.
Diet and Supplements:
- No sugar, no carbs.
- Juicing and sprouting.
- A variety of Plexus products for gut health, protein, and cellular support:
- Rest 3-Day Cleanse.
- Slim.
- ProBio5.
- Whey Protein.
- Ease.
Wellness Practices:
- Gym sessions (including today’s high-intensity legs and glutes workout at my own pace—it was surprisingly fun!).
- Red light therapy and hydro massage.
- Hydration with minerals and filtered water.
Small Wins Amid the Challenges
Last night was the first night I didn’t feel like I was running a fever, and today, I felt strong enough to enjoy a workout at the gym.
But the journey hasn’t been easy.
- Negativity: The most challenging part has been dealing with people who expect the worst or have negative things to say.
- Staying True to Myself: The second hardest part is staying true to my intuition and standing firm in my choices, despite outside influences.
A Bold Plan: 21-Day Water Fast
On May 10, I plan to begin a 21-day water, minerals, and vitamins fast.
- I’ll work through the first week.
- Then, I’ll take two weeks off to stay with my brother, who will monitor my health, keep me hydrated, and surround me with good vibes.
This fast is part of my effort to reset my body and starve the cancer.
A Surreal Reality
I’ve always been health-conscious:
- No metal or nail polish in years.
- Drinking more than my body weight in water daily.
- Avoiding soy-based substitutes and limiting dairy.
- Eating mostly vegetarian and staying fairly active—more than most.
And yet, here I am, facing this aggressive diagnosis.
It’s surreal. But I refuse to let this define me.
Hope and Determination
I’m doing everything I can to fight this battle—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. I’m choosing hope, resilience, and the belief that healing is possible.
To anyone else facing a similar journey: Stay strong, stay true to yourself, and trust the process.
