Last night was my 25-year class reunion, and what a night it was!
Hearing so many kind words—“Wow, you look great!” and “I’m so glad to see and hear you’re doing so well!”—felt incredible.
More Than Just a Response
My response to everyone was a consistent:
“I’m not taking chemo.”
But honestly, it’s so much more than that.
- It’s the love, prayers, belief, and encouragement I’ve received from so many.
- It’s the decision to soak up all the life-giving good vibes and prayers from those around me.
- It’s the commitment to love myself more, breathe in the beauty of life, and enjoy every moment.
This journey has taught me the importance of leaning into positivity and connection—and last night was the perfect reminder of just how powerful that can be.
Picking Up Right Where We Left Off
We all picked up right where we left off, as if no time had passed.
Amid the laughter and shared memories, we couldn’t help but reflect on the loss and uncertainty we’ve all experienced. It made the time together even more meaningful.
We made a pact: no more waiting for another 10 years to reconnect. From now on, we’ll do this every summer because life is too precious to let these moments slip by.
A Smaller, Tighter Circle
Our small graduating class of 83 has grown even smaller since we walked the stage in ‘98.
The bonds we shared then remain strong, and the love and respect we have for one another has only deepened over the years.
