Best I’ve Felt Yet

A Weekend to Myself: Rest, Renewal, and Rearranging

This past weekend was the first time in years that I’ve had more than just a few hours to myself—and let me tell you, it was exactly what I needed.


Moms, You’ll Relate

Even though my daughter is grown with children of her own, I can still remember the years of juggling everything as a single mom. Those sleepless nights, endless to-do lists, and constantly being pulled in every direction were exhausting, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

Still, let’s be real: We all juggle a lot. Most days, it feels like too much.

But here’s the thing:
You’re powerful. You’re capable of everything you do.
And yes, people love you.


The Power of Rest

This holiday weekend, I finally gave myself permission to rest—and wow, did I need it!

Here’s the truth:
It’s not easy to make yourself stop and relax, even when you know you need to. I had to tell myself over and over to lay back down and rest, but once I did, it made such a difference.


Rearranging My Space = Rearranging My Energy

The best thing I did this weekend? Rearrange my room.

Back in 2018, I moved in with my sister after hitting rock bottom financially. At the time, it was supposed to be “just temporary,” but life had other plans.

Since then, I’ve been back and forth, trying to make sense of things, often without clear boundaries. I spent years in an on-again, off-again situation that left me feeling drained. I tried to focus on the good moments, but the truth is, I was stuck.

Fast forward to now:
I’m still here. And I’m endlessly grateful for my sister, her incredible husband, and their unwavering support. Without them, I’m pretty certain I wouldn’t be here today.

This weekend, I finally took steps to make my space feel less “temporary.”

  • I turned my bed 90 degrees and moved it to the opposite side of the window.
  • I switched my bed and dresser, placing the dresser partially under the window.
  • I brought my beloved plants home from work and filled the space with life and greenery.

Now, I’m completely in love with my space! It feels brighter, lighter, and more aligned with the energy I want in my life.


Healing and Gratitude

Your prayers and good vibes are working!
Today, I’ve felt the best I have in a long time:

  • No fever
  • No chills
  • No aches
  • No breast, arm, back, or stomach pain
  • No migraine

Hallelujah!

Sometimes, the smallest changes—resting, rearranging, and clearing space—can have the biggest impact.
